Nicola joined the CDHN team in December 2020, having spent the last 18 months working as an International Development Manager for the Justice and Peace Commission (JPC) in rural Uganda. There she worked to build the capacity of the organisation and developing programmes to benefit some of the most vulnerable people in the world, including women, children and refugees. Nicola previously worked for a year with a children’s charity in Lima, Peru, using her strategic expertise to help shape the future objectives of the organisation and improve the holistic care experience of the children. She brings 17 years’ extensive experience to her role, including senior management, people, project and portfolio management experience, from the public, private and voluntary sectors, both locally and internationally. She is passionate about strong, effective leadership, clear vision, building quality relationships, equality, inclusion, delivering excellence and having a positive impact on the lives of others. Nicola enjoys anything active and creative, travel and spending time with family and friends. Following her time in Lima, her current challenge is to continue developing her Spanish language skills.
