We have a great team to help us roll out the Elevate Programme. Our core partners are detailed below and collectively we have years of experience and expertise in community development, supporting action on social determinants, training, and mentoring and impact practice. We have also identified five fantastic organisations, one in each HSC Trust area, all with great experiences and practice examples to share with others through the Community Mentorship Programme.
Staff members are situated in the community across Northern Ireland supporting the programme and delivering the training programmes in each HSC Trust area.
Community Development and Health Network (CDHN) is the lead organisation responsible for the delivery of Elevate. CDHN is working in partnership with three subcontracted organisations to ensure added value – Prospect Awards, Rural Community Network and Community Evaluation NI.
The Elevate Community Mentorship Programme is the pilot of a new way of working in Northern Ireland. We recognise that networking and peer to peer learning are core elements of good community development practice. We have partnered with five organisations across Northern Ireland (one in each Trust area) that we believe demonstrate excellent community development practice and a solid commitment to tackling health inequalities. They will each support five local organisations through this structured Mentorship Programme which will entail one to one support and tailored peer to peer and group sessions. We will create opportunities for them to learn from the mentorship organisation and from each other.
The ARC Healthy Living Centre aims to improve the well-being of local people by bringing together a partnership of community health activities and services. ARC provides shared space, basing a range of health and well being services within the Centre. The ARC actively promotes community participation and volunteering – services are run for local people, by local people.
