We have a great team to help us roll out the Elevate Programme including our CDHN team, external stakeholders and a project officer covering each of the five Health & Social Care Trust areas. We are also working with six fantastic dynamic organisations, all with great experiences and practice examples to share with others through the Community Mentoring & Grants Programme. They are ARC Healthy Living Centre, County Down Rural Community Network, Mid-East Antrim Agewell Partnership, Women’s Tec, Clanrye Group and Supporting Communities.
Community Development and Health Network (CDHN) is the lead organisation responsible for the delivery of Elevate.
The Elevate Community Mentoring & Grants Programme recognises that networking and peer to peer learning are core elements of good community development practice. We have partnered with five organisations across Northern Ireland that we believe demonstrate excellent community development practice and a solid commitment to tackling health inequalities. They will each support five local organisations through this structured Mentoring Programme which will entail one to one support and tailored peer to peer and group sessions. We will create opportunities for them to learn from the mentorship organisation and from each other.
The ARC Healthy Living Centre aims to improve the well-being of local people by bringing together a partnership of community health activities and services. ARC provides shared space, basing a range of health and well being services within the Centre. The ARC actively promotes community participation and volunteering – services are run for local people, by local people.
