Cancer Focus NI

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland’s mission is to eliminate cancer where possible and reduce its impact on society. The organisation offers support and information to help you improve your health and support you and your family when you are affected by cancer. Their Care Services department serves over 3,000 patients from across Northern Ireland accessing a range of services including counselling, family support and art therapy.

Mentor: Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership

They took part in the Elevate programme to scope who is accessing services and identify gaps in terms of supporting those in social disadvantage with a focus on reducing health inequalities. The organisation engaged with the local community in the Northern Trust area and developed a Strategic Plan and shared the learning across relevant charity teams.
