Loughinisland GAC

Loughinisland GAC was formed in 1906 to provide a local GAA sporting outlet for children and adults from age five. The club has one main pitch, a clubhouse and a health and wellbeing centre which offers several health programmes. The GAC has a deep well of around 90 volunteers who help to run the Centre.

Mentor: County Down Rural Community Network

The Elevate programme helped the GAC to tackle social isolation for people living in a rural area through online activities and developing a strategy for future planning around reducing health inequalities.
