The Old Courthouse Kesh

The Courthouse Kesh Limited was set up in 2016 in order to progress the redevelopment of the derelict courthouse building at Main Street, Kesh which was identified in the Kesh Village Plan as the preferred location for a local services delivery hub. With support from various organisations, the capital build project commenced in 2018 and opened to the public in October 2019.  The Courthouse aims to help all in their community by providing the best possible services in a loving and caring way. The services on offer are a drop-in coffee dock, food bank, debt advice service and health and wellbeing services.

Mentor: ARC Healthy Living Centre

As part of their Elevate project, the group wanted to build on their work in the local community, developing and supporting volunteers, providing a range of activities and workshops to promote self-care and focus on addressing health inequalities for suicide reduction. They engaged with the local community, undertook training around health inequalities with the Elevate programme, developed volunteering skills within their organisation and developed relevant information resources.
