Voice of Young People in Care (VOYPIC)

Voice of Young People in Care was established in 1993 by a group of young people and supporting practitioners. The organisation’s mission is to promote the rights of children in care and care leavers to change lives and improve outcomes. VOYPIC provides help, support and advice to children and young people up to the age of 25. Through their strengths-based one to one support, group work and advocacy, they strive to reach out to children and young people and make a difference in their day to day lives.

Mentor: Women'sTec

As part of the Elevate programme, VOYPIC co-produced a programme for young people in residential care to reduce social isolation/mental health that has impacted them during Covid-19, and enhance and develop young leaders to empower them to share their lived experience with their peers in residential homes and beyond.
